Collection: Children will only be released to their parents / guardian or to the individual specified on their enrolment form as a person authorised to collect. The nursery must be informed, either in person or by telephone, by the child’s parent or guardian, if any other person will be collecting. Children will not be released under any other circumstances until the parent/guardian has been contacted to confirm.

Opening Hours: The nursery opening hours must be adhered to. Children may not be dropped off before their nursery session begins (8am or 1pm) but can arrive or leave anytime between their set hours. Children must be collected by the end of their session (12.30 or 5.45). If you experience unexpected collection difficulties, please telephone the nursery to inform us   as soon as possible.

Holidays & Absences: The nursery is open throughout the year, apart from Bank Holidays and approximately 1 week at Christmas (exact dates vary each year depending on where Christmas falls). No fees are charged for the full week we close at Christmas. However, a nursery place is reserved for your child the rest of the year. So, in order to meet staffing costs & overheads, normal fees are due in the case of Bank Holidays, non-attendance for holidays or absence due to illness.

Illness: Children suffering from minor ailments e.g. coughs and colds, are normally fine to attend nursery if you feel they are well enough. If, however, your child has an unidentified rash; vomiting or diarrhoea*; or a confirmed case of a contagious infection such as chicken pox; they must not attend nursery until they are clear of their symptoms or no longer contagious. (*Current NHS guidelines advise 48 hours from last bout of vomiting or diarrhoea before returning). If you are in any doubt, please contact the nursery as we are happy to advise you. If you wish to supply medication for your child to be administered whilst at nursery, you will be asked to complete and sign a ‘Medication Form’. It is advised that children with chronic conditions such as Asthma, Eczema, etc or allergic conditions which require the administration of an ’Epi-pen’, supply the nursery with a duplicate of their medication to be kept on the nursery premises at all times.

Notice: Four weeks notice or payment in lieu is required if your child will no longer be attending Cliff House. We also politely request that parents give us a much notice as possible if they need to amend the sessions their child attends.
